Charcter Information.

NAME: Seamus Patrick Finnigan.
AGE & DATE OF BIRTH: 20, September 23rd, 1980
SCHOOLING & YEARS ATTENDED: Gryffindor 1991-1998
BP: Charlie Hunnam.
KNOWN AFFILIATION: Harry Potter, Dumbledore's Army. He's only ever heard of The Order of the Phoenix, though its supposed he would most likely agree with everything they are about. He's a Anti-Magic Sympathizer, and is known for it by the big ol' MoM.
BLOODLINE & HERITAGE: Half n half from his own words. Halfbood, Muggle father, Pureblood mother. Irish.
PARENTS & SIBLINGS:
Mother: Noreen Aideen Finnigan (née O'Callaghan), works at the Ministry on the Invisibility Task Force.
Father: Darcy Emmet Finnigan, Muggle, self employed. Makes Sailboats, 'Finnigan's Yachts'.
Little brother/Son: Ronan Brian Finnigan, three year old, heart breaker.

Brief Family Background: Noreen O'Callaghan came from a very prestige pureblood family that lived in Cape Clear Island (Clear Island), located in southern Ireland off the coast. They were an old Pureblood family that could trace their lineage very far indeed, though there had never been any rules or guidelines involving Muggles or Halfbloods when it came to marriage. No, indeed, it had simply been a thing of chance. Each offspring had always managed to snag and fall in love with a Pureblood - it was a running joke within their small family. While other Pureblood families fought tooth and nail to get their children married off to respectable families, they simply had it fall into their laps.

Mr. and Mrs. O'Callaghan had waited very late in life to have a child, and so when Noreen had been born, they'd dotted on her like she was the most precious of gifts. There were no expectations for her to abide by while at Hogwarts, no house that was their legacy and therefore her duty to be sorted into, and no rules about Muggleborns, Halfbloods, or Purebloods from her family. So, as she grew older and wiser, she'd also grown to respect all types of people despite their blood.

On her twenty-first birthday, as a gift from her parents, they bought her a small cottage down by the ocean for her to have to herself. She had always loved the ocean, and spent most of her time there as a little girl, and so it had seemed an obvious gift to get their daughter. She had grown up, and it was time she had a place of her own. However, her little cottage had needed a lot of fixing up, and that was how she met Darcy. He'd come along when she'd been about to use a little magic to do some repairs and had offered to help her out. Oh, he'd been a handsome man, and even though she didn't need it, she readily accepted.

Five months later, the two wed in a very large wedding with all their family in tow. Despite being a Muggle, her family accepted him readily. They had their first big fight three months into their wedding, and Noreen used a silencing spell on her Husband without thinking. He completely lost his wits, raged once he got his voice back, cursed heavily, and walked out. After two weeks of brooding, he came back and apologized, telling her she should have told him before they married; he wouldn't have carried after he had gotten over the initial shock of it all.

Within a year of their marriage, both of Noreen's parents had died. Her mother had died only four months after the marriage of old age, and her father six months later of what everyone assumed was a broken heart. They left their daughter a very small lump sum of wizarding gold and left the rest to their grandchildren in a Gringotts Wizarding Bank account to be given out when they became of age. No, they hadn't been rich, but they had been well off enough to give their daughter and hopefully their grandchildren a nice start at a decent life. Despite being left that large house that set over looking the town, Noreen remained within her small cottage by the sea. She made sure the house was kept up, and everything was in order, but she enjoyed life to much by the sea with her husband.

Personal History:Two years after the death of her parents, they gave birth to their first and only son, Seamus Patrick Finnigan, named after her father, Patrick, and his father, Seamus. They loved him very much, and dotted on him like he was their pride and joy, which he was. Life was very blissful for them.

As Seamus grew older, he became like one with the ocean like his mother. He was often found swimming with the other children, skipping stones and chasing imaginative dragons along the costal stones, embracing his childhood. He was often in trouble like the other boys for throwing rocks into old buildings, snatching candies off store front counters, and missing curfew. Indeed, he did not lead the life of a privileged youth. No, he didn't even know he came from a family of some wealth, not at all.

Seamus knew from a very young age that he was a wizard, and his mother told him that it was very important that while with other children and when not at home, that he was to never, ever try and use magic. Muggles, she told him, could never find out.

Seamus did decent in school - he was more of a jack of all trades of sorts, pulling acceptable in nearly all subjects. He was more likened to being friendly and outgoing while at Hogwarts then studying. He liked Quidditch, though he wasn't all that well at it, and enjoyed playing football with the other Muggles and Halfblood children at Hogwarts. He was very good, and very competitive. He met Dean Thomas his first year during the sorting ceremony, and the two had become friends. Over the years, they became best friends, much like Ron and Harry.

Seamus attended the Yule Ball with Lavender Brown in his fourth year, and they also help round up the Blast-Ended Skrewts after they ran amok during Hagrid's Care of Magical Creatures class. Then, when Cedric Driggory was murdered, he was nearly pulled out of school by his mother. She remembered her time at Hogwarts, and remembered how terribly scared a lot of them had been, unsure as to what was to happen, as to what was going on outside their safety of Hogwarts. She didn't want her son to know that sort of fright, that sort of danger.

When Noreen did finally get him home, she didn't want him to go back to Hogwarts. If Voldemort was indeed back, then she didn't want her son anywhere near Hogwarts or Harry Potter. She worked for the Ministry of Magic, she knew what was said about Harry Potter, knew what Minister of Magic himself was saying, what the Prophet was saying... but Seamus had argued, he'd raged just like his father, threatened to go anyways without her consent, and so she gave in. She let him return, with the promise that he'd stay away from anything that looked dangerous or that could get him into all types of trouble.

Due to his mother's attempt to keeping him out of Hogwarts because of Harry Potter, Seamus directed his anger toward him. They had their first blow up their very first night back, and instead of being smart and pulling his wand on Potter, he'd thrown up his fists much like he had done as a boy, ready to fight like a man. After several months, Seamus finally came around, allowing his tempter to cool and his mother's own idea's about what was happening to stop overpowering his own feelings. He joined Dumbledore's Army late, but luckily still learned enough to help him on his Owls.

When Dumbledore was murdered near the end of his sixth year, his mother had panicked. She'd wanted to pull him from the school right that minute; she wanted him home, safe and sound and away from anyone that could cause him harm. Seamus, however, wasn't having it. He was going to stay for Dumbledore's funeral for he had admired their Headmaster who had always seemed indestructible.

That summer before the defeat of Voldemort Noreen gave birth to her her last child, a little boy. Ronan Brian Finnigan. Seamus liked the idea of having a little brother, even if it was over ten years to late.

When his seventh year came around, Seamus did not hesitate to return to school despite his mother's protests. He was going to finish his schooling with the rest of his friends and year, and nothing was going to stop him. However, as the year became surely the worst year any of them had ever seen, he almost wished he'd listened to his mother - almost. He knew, however, that as the older ones at Hogwarts they had to do something, and like many of the seventh years, he did. He fought, he argued, he released students from the dungeon and snuck food for the younger years. He did everything he could think to do along with the rest of Dumbledore's Army, and often he paid very dearly for it like the other students.

When things began to get very bad, and the beatings worse, Seamus had to finally take refuge in the Room of Requirements with the other students. He'd been beaten so bad he hadn't had a choice, really. When they finally sent him back to his room, he was being supported by two other Gryffindor's, and instead of taking him back to the tower, they'd lead him into their hideout.

INVOLVEMNT IN THE WAR:During the battle for Hogwarts, Luna Lovegood, Earnie Macmillan, and Seamus himself come to Harry's aid against the Dementors, conjuring their Patronuses and chasing them away while Luna talked to Harry, encouraging him. He fought along side many of the staff of Hogwarts and the Order until the giants started to attack and chaos erupted outside and he was forced back into the castle with the others. In the hallway, he mets up with Hannah Abbott and they both end up dodging a few well aimed spells from Voldemort. Suddenly, however, as they were running from The Dark Lord into the Great Hall for more fighting space and a better chance at survival, all spells and curses seem to bound off them as if a Shield Spell was placed upon them (and of course, it was, by Harry himself).

When the dust faded, when the crumbling of the Hogwarts halls ceased, and Voldemort lay among the dead in the other room, Seamus had remained alive. Still very bruised and beaten from his previous fight with the Carrows, and now only more sore and bloody from his fight with Dementors, Death Eaters, and at a point Voldemort himself along side Hannah, he was pretty damn happy, and proud. Proud of himself, of the other students, and especially his house. So many Gryffindor's had played a very, very big part in the downfall of Voldemort, and he felt very proud to be counted among them.

WHEREABOUTS SINCE ED OF HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: That summer all fifth year and seventh year students were allowed to take their O.W.L.'s and N.E.W.T's at the Ministry of Magic. Seamus managed to pass decently, doing neither very well or very poorly. His mum wanted him to get a job within the Ministry, but Seamus couldn't see himself within the Ministry. He knew some friends that had went into Law Enforcement, and though it did sound interesting, it just hadn't seemed the thing for him. Unsure as to what to do with himself, he'd gotten a job as a bartender at The Three Broomsticks while he tried to figure his life out.

Seamus welcomed watching Ronan for his parents whenever they needed, or just wanted alone time together. So when his mother asked him to take care of Ronan while they went out on a 'date', Seamus had agreed. No one knew that evening tragedy would finally strike the Finnigan family. It was odd, they had managed to make it out of the era when Voldemort terrorized safe, whole, even while his own father had been a Muggle, but a simple drunk driver unable to stop had caused there perfectly happy family to cease much of its laugher.

Noreen hadn't thought to bring her wand, hadn't thought she would need it. They were just going to dinner and then to the opera, just going to spend quality time together. The passenger side of the car was struck, sending them careening off the road and flipping into a ditch. His father had to be cut out of the car, and his mother had died when the trunk had struck their car almost instantly.

Two weeks after that, the law putting a hold on Muggle and Wizarding relations was passed.

Darcy Finnigan left part of himself in that car the night his wife died. To fill the void, he dived into his work, taking order after boat orders. Seamus moved back in with his father to help take care of his little brother while his father tried to sort out his emotions, to make sure there was always food in the house and the bills were taken care of. Darcy didn't get better though, he got worse. He withdrew from his children, he spent to many nights drinking himself into an early grave at the pubs.

REACTION TO THE INITIAL HOLD ON MUGGLE/WIZARDING RELATIONS?: Seamus was outraged. He was a half-blood, his father a Muggle. Half of his entire family was made out of Muggles, and the idea that he would have to limit his contact with them had made him angry. He had thought this guy, this new Minister of Magic, was going to do good things, and instead they got a law that limited his interactions with his own family, his own Muggle friends. Seamus was loud about his protest to the bill and made himself known - it gave him something to do to keep his mind off the loss of his mother.

REACTION TO THE LAW FOR THE PROTECTION OF MAGICAL BLOOD AND HONOR?: Seamus was furious - they had no right to force people to register for anything, especially stating what there blood status was. He wasn't ashamed of being a Halfblood, it was who he was. He was damn proud, but if he was to comply? If he agreed and signed his name and stated his blood he would have felt like he was agreeing to what they were doing, agreeing to this outrageous law.

HHAVE YOU REGISTERED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE NON-MAGIC REGISTRATION ACT? IF NOT, WHERE ARE YOU NOW?: No. Seamus refused, and he didn't take his little brother in to have him registered either. Seamus wasn't smart about his mouth, however. He let it run away with him in public, telling everyone how he felt, how he wasn't going to sign and that neither should they! They raided his father's house where he was staying, but luckily Seamus was fast. He snatched his brother off the ground when the shit hit and fan and Apparated. He Apparated several times, and then he took the underground into the heart of London with his little brother hanging around his neck.

With all his money in his Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley, Seamus had no where to go and no way to pay for anything. They slept on the Underground that first day, Seamus glaring wholes into anyone that dared ask what he was doing with a two year old boy on the Underground in the middle of the night. When morning came Seamus called home to his father.

Mr. Darcy, however, had come home from the work that night to find his house having been ran through and Auror's in his living room. He knew his son had been into something, though he'd been to preoccupied by other things, and he didn't have much to do with the Wizarding world even though his wife had been a witch and his two son's wizards. He hadn't known that he was this deep in though. When he answered the phone to hear Seamus speaking, he simply said, "Boy you've got some of these Wizarding folk in my front room and they are a mite unhappy, might not wanna be showing your face 'round here for a while. Take care of my boy, Son-" Whatever Mr. Darcy had been about to say was cut short and the sound of people yelling filled Seamus ears. He dropped the phone, snatched his brother up, and ran toward Diagon Alley. He was going to empty his vault, swift his funds, and get the hell out of dodge.

Mr. Darcy was taken to the Ministry of Magic and questioned about his son's involvement in the attacks on the Wizarding world, questioned about both his son's whereabouts, but he never said anything, he simply took whatever they dished out to him. These last two years he hadn't been the best father, but like hell he was going to sell his own children out out of fear.

No one has seen Mr. Darcy since. (Haha, I assume he's at like Azkaban or has had his memory altered by someone to forget the Wizarding world and his family or something, lol. )

Seamus and his little brother, who he has now taken to calling his son while in hiding, are living in Muggle London, continuously changing locations in fear of being found. Seamus doesn't know what will happen to his little brother if something were to happen to him. They're running low on cash and Seamus doesn't know what is going to happen if this nonsense doesn't end soon, and he suspects it won't.

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Seamus has his scars from the war like everyone else who fought along side Harry. Just under his elbow he has a long gash that runs up to his armpit, and on his left side, near his hipbone, are a few scars that look like burns in appearance but are really from where one curse or another struck him. He assumes many people have the same scars he does. They remind him that he helped fight for something worth fighting for, and that he should always continue to fight in what he believes is right.

PERSONALITY: Easy going, good-natured, and friendly. Seamus has always been an open individual, not afraid of showing his emotions or letting people know exactly whats on his mind. If he has a problem with you, he's going to let you know it, as well as everyone else around him. He's not one to bottle things up inside until they spill over like a poison. Getting them said and done helps him relieve some of his anger and stress over it. He knows he can be a hot head at times, and he's pretty sure he'll be that way until he's dead, and so there isn't any hope for changing that.

Seamus is a laugher. He likes to laugh, to make others laugh (and doesn’t mind making a fool out of himself from time to time in order to do so), and tends to gravitate to people who are the same way. He likes to be able to have a good time and let loose when the time calls for it - with all the stress and worrying they did as teenagers, he pretty much thinks they're owed a bit of hell raising moments. He likes to think laughter can cure anything, and tends to be a bit of an optimistic thinker when he's level headed.

All together, he really isn’t a very complicated person; he wears the same face for everyone, and is always himself. He can be charismatic, open, charming, and turn around and be rude, obnoxious, and mean the next moment if it calls for it. He laughs when he feels like laughing, he curses when he feels like curses, drinks when he feels like drinking, and fights when he feels like fighting (which isn’t very often anymore). He does everything on his own time.

Seamus also seems to rush into judgments about people before he's had enough time to really get to know them or assess the situation, and sometimes he needs to have some sense knocked into him. When he has an enemy, they're most likely on the blacklist for life unless something amazing happens to shed some light on his thoughts towards their type of character. He doesn't forgive and forget, and he certainly doesn't trust someone that has done something wrong against him or his friends.

Seamus can get annoyed easily when a subject he doesn’t like is being pushed. Like when his mother asks him when he’s going to find Ronan a decent mother, when is he going to find a safe, respectable job, when is he going to buy a house instead of that stupid apartment of his. Marcus hasn’t even met a woman he’d want to take home to Mum yet, let alone his son, and her persistence drives him mad.

Despite being a lot of like the young man he was a Hogwarts, he has also changed a great deal. With the birth of his son he quieted down some, spends a lot more time at home lounging around the house and playing on the floor with Ronan then outside in the pub with friends or out of the town with a pretty gal. He's learned a lot of responsibility from having someone counting on you for their livelihood.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Seamus was clearly his father's son with his sandy, sun bleached hair, however instead of keeping it neatly trimmed, his hung long around his face and ears, which displeased his mother. He simply never thought about getting it cut with everything else going on, and so it remains long and straight about his head. If he does anything with it, he usually just ties it back or throws a cap over it, he was never one to care much about his appearance or what others thought about it. His eyes are a light shade of ordinary blue and surrounded by thin laugh lines that will most likely grow more defied as he ages. His gaze, which is usually friendly and welcoming, can because like ice in an instant when angered. His eyebrows draw inward and his mouth tightens, which some have said is a very frightening look on him, but usually only makes his little brother burst into a fit of giggles.

His nose is slightly crooked from a fight that had broken out in a pub where he'd been having a couple of beers with friends, and because he'd been a bit on the pissed side he jumped in out of nowhere and started throwing fists around. Not exactly the brightest idea he's ever had while under the influence, as it caused a rather nasty looking bloke to clock him in his face a couple of times before he knocked out. Indeed, when he came to he found he'd suffered a broken nose as well as a split brow, which hurt like the devil and sobered him up pretty quickly.

Seamus has always had an athletic form, and he's managed to keep pretty much the same physical appearance over the years by running. He hadn't planned to do any running or other types of exercise to stay in shape, as it hadn't really ever occurred to him that he should. When he'd gained a few pounds after leaving Hogwarts, he didn't really notice until he couldn't wear his old jeans, but even then all he did was buy new ones. When pacing outside his fathers house one night, trying to get Ronan back to sleep, the phone had wrung and he'd raced to go get it. As soon as he'd started running, however, his little brother's tears had stopped. From that moment on, Seamus could often be seen running around with a baby strapped to the front of him at night. He found it soothed both of them very nicely.

FEARS/BOGGART: Seamus used to be afraid of a banshee's, but since the law was put into effect, Seamus is worried about his father and his little brother, and so it rotates sometimes for his father dead, or his little brother scared and alone.
PATRONUS: A fox.
